Kids always notice imperfections. Like the illuminated sign at Kohl's department store. Only a child would notice the apostrophe was burned out.
Sparky: "The apostrophe is out of business."
That's my new favorite phrase.

I have many students for whom I wish the apostrophe were out of business -- you know, the one's who don't know a plural from a possessive and who can't stop using the apostrophe in all it's glory in all the wrong places? ;) Can I quote Sparky to them?
Also: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope you are having wonderful holidays!

I want to go out and look at our Kohl's sign because I've never noticed.
My son is also observant. He observes every one of my faults and points them out. Damn.
