We went out to dinner Saturday night, my little family and I. Afterward I
suggested we go for a walk. The sky was intoxicating and I took my
camera along.
The kids rode.
I lagged behind, head tilted upward.
It was a good walk.

I call this the Cookie Monster
Tree. It looks like someone took a big bite.
It was a good walk.

Cookie Monster trees! I thought the same thing when I was a girl and saw a tree taking a big bite out of a power line. What a beautiful setting.

What is it with Moms? They always want the family to go for a walk after dinner...but almost always find something else to keep themselves busy.
Why can't the time after a meal be enjoyed on a comfortable sofa...with eyes closed?
