The Glamorous Life

One minute you are trying to convince me (unsucessfully) that you are an okie farm girl from some yonder cow place up north (all said with an okie accent) and the next minute you are dining in Napa with famous wine people?

Which is it lady?
And don't even try BOTH.
I ain't buyin it.

MommyTime

Yummmmy...Sees.... California knows how to do candy.

Also, I just read through nearly two weeks of posts because I have been busy and lame and not visiting my friends like I really want to (perversely, when this happens, I visit the people I REALLY want to read even less because I don't want to be rushed when I show up at their places)...anyway, I just had to say that the post about prepping chickens for the fair was brilliant. It gave me a lot of excellent tips for bathing my children, too, which is handy.

*smooches* I've missed my dose of Foolery.

Cactus Petunia

Oh, I'm definitely making this one! And I have both the rogue caramel gene and the chocolate one! So, yeah- whaddaya got with chocolate?
Oh, and thanks for the link to Napa Man's blog...Makes me almost want to move back to California

Okay, so DOPEY ME, trying to post this at nearly 1:00 a.m., I forgot the apple crisp picture! And I wasn't suggesting that you cook Sarah Scott, no matter how that looked.

I also forgot to add that while Sarah was in a Folio chef coat, she is not currently working with the good people at Folio. Older photo. And seriously, do go check out the recipes AND Napa Man's blog. Well worth the visits, if only to sigh a lot.

Thanks for reading, everybody! And if I can swing apple crisp in July, I will, CBW -- though I can't imagine you'll want the oven on then. ; )

Bob Cleveland

I never knew its origin, but "Two Buck Chuck" was my best friend's nickname in High School.

Auds at Barking Mad

Mmmmm caramel! Mmmmmm apple crisp.

Where was this recipe when I had 20 bazillion pounds of apples back in October? *lol*

Oh well, there's always next year.

San Diego Momma

I'm so pissed that I don't caramel. Who doesn't like caramel? It really irks me. I want to like Caramel Macchiatos and turtle pie and Brach's caramel chews, but no, I DID NOT GET THAT GENE.

Man, what a bummer.

Now what you got to plug that starts with chocolate? :)

Rick's Cafe

I'm in love!
...and hungry.

Vaguely remember a psych. study equating those two feelings. But I've evolved.....love comes first!

Ellie

I love those magician types. Food and wine. Together. Mmmmmmm....

Chesapeake Bay Woman

I'm sorry. Did you say something? Because I didn't hear anything at all after the word "caramel." Can you make some of this for the blog fest?

Kathi D

She looks so happy. That's what good food and wine will do for you.
