Hold My Calls

This is me circa 1994. It was taken for a Tom Foolery ad by Rudy Giscombe (at that time a photographer for the local weekly newspaper, the Chico News & Review, that I advertised in). Rudy can make anyone smile, and he always made me laugh, which was necessary because I HATE having my picture taken.



Actually, I hate having my picture taken only once, when something like 50-60 shots are necessary to get one decent one. Nobody ever has the time, patience, or reason to take 50-60 pictures of me, therefore they stop at one.  And that one always stinks.

I hate having my picture taken by anyone but Rudy.

Holy canoli! I dated a guy for a little while who was living in Chico -- was there visiting in 2006. CUTE town. What are the odds??

And I'm exactly the same with photos. HATE getting my pic taken, and there have to be many, many takes. But I have to say, you look pretty darn photogenic to me ...

Ha ha ha -- Debbie, the inner tube was a prop, but Rudy kindly and conveniently angled the shot to hide my HUGE HIPS AND BUTT!

I feel your pain re:pictures. I prefer to do the taking...and I'll shoot hundreds of them to get the one I want, but I won't sit still for even one of me.

Consider the possibility that it takes 50-60 pictures of you to get one that lines up with the image you want to project of yourself; but also include the possibility that most pictures of you show the real you, which is a most attractive, vibrant and interesting image.

But what do I know? I like fungus.
